Poornima Francis (1997, Qatar) is a filmmaker and broadcast journalist. In 2024, she graduated from the University of British Columbia, in so-called Vancouver, with a Master's degree in Journalism (with a focus in documentary). During her study, she wrote and directed several short docs since developing a special interest in stories of resistance in community, art and history. She is an Associate Producer with CBC Vancouver.
